Although CosmeticVacations offers services out of Florida and New York, it is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, “the World Capital of Plastic Surgery.” More plastic surgeries are performed in metropolitan Rio de Janeiro than anywhere else in the world. The agency’s in-country offices lie in the heart of Rio’s business district, close to its surgeons, hospitals, and medical travelers. Ninety percent of CosmeticVacations’ clients are from the US and Canada. The agency’s international representatives work closely with clients to help organize their trip, including flights and hotel accommodations.

Although Rio is known for high-quality plastic surgery, innovations in the field, and surgical safety, it is not the cheapest place in the world to receive plastic surgery. Nevertheless, CosmeticVacations says its clients can expect a 30–40 percent savings over comparable procedures in the US.

All CosmeticVacations’ physicians and surgeons are members of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, the national equivalent of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the largest organization of its kind in Latin America. For dentistry, all CosmeticVacations’ surgeons are members of the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry. All of the agency’s staff members and partner surgeons speak English.
