Posh Journeys, run by Jack and Helga van Horn, has been conducting international tours since 1987. Following their own dental treatment experience in Hungary, the couple has been sending dental clients in their footsteps since adding Dental Tourist Vacations to Posh Journeys in 2002; the company expanded to include Medical Tourist Vacations in 2006.
This Reno-based group works with its Hungary-based partner, Florian Scheuer of Dental-Offer, to arrange cost estimates, make appointments, arrange interviews with dentists, and suggest the best dentist for a patient’s procedure. The agency also arranges airline tickets, airport transfers, lodging, and sightseeing. Posh Journeys offers a wide range of accommodation options, from full-service spa hotels complete with hot springs to condominiums with kitchens, where patients can cook their own food from a local market.
Posh Journeys arranges medical travel to Mosonmagyaróvár (southeast of Vienna), Budapest, and Bratislava in Slovakia, home to one of the most modern dental clinics in Europe. The agency plans to add cosmetic surgery and dental packages in the Czech Republic, with recuperation offered in a castle hotel.
