The only specialized, comprehensive center in the Middle East for musculoskeletal disease, the Dubai Bone and Joint Center (DBAJ) is the clinical arm of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center. Its staff is focused on using innovative procedures in joint replacement, back and neck surgery, pediatric orthopedics, rheumatology, and physiotherapy.

DBAJ has embarked on a research program with the University of Amsterdam’s academic medical center to study gene therapy and its potential to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Its clientele includes members of Middle East royal families, international diplomatic corps, and global executives who live and work in the region.
