Exterior view, Fortis Hospital Bangalore After 18 years of pioneering clinical achievements at its first heart hospital on Bangalore’s Cunningham Road, Fortis Hospital Bangalore opened the doors to its new state-of-the-art, 400-bed super-specialty hospital in August 2006. In 2008, JCI accreditation was announced.
Formerly known as Wockhardt Super-Specialty Hospital, specialties include cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, neurosciences, minimal access surgery, and women’s and children’s services.
Fortis Hospital Bangalore was designed in consultation with Harvard Medical International (HMI), the global arm of Harvard Medical School. HMI works with selected healthcare providers across the globe to improve excellence in clinical medicine, medical education, and biomedical research.
