Opened in 2008 as Dubai Healthcare City’s first multidisciplinary hospital, this 229-bed JCI-accredited hospital contains many of the most advanced technologies available in the region to provide accurate, timely diagnosis and extensive treatment options. Mediclinic City Hospital is owned by Mediclinic International, one of the ten largest listed private hospital groups in the world.
With a staff of more than 140 physicians and surgeons and 270 nurses, the hospital served nearly 20,000 inpatients and 216,000 outpatients in 2013. That year, Mediclinic welcomed more than 20,000 patients from the US and Canada.
This medical center has sourced advanced medical technology from around the world including a 3T MRI and the latest SPECT-CT gamma camera. Mediclinic staff offers key specialties and treatments include breast surgery, cardiac surgery, dentistry, endocrinology, ENT, gastroenterology, nephrology (kidney), neurology and neurosurgery, nuclear medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pulmonology (lung), urology and vascular surgery.
Specialized health screening packages are available for both men and women. A dedicated representative provides patient support during the screening process.
While English is the official language for hospital services and communications, more than 40 nationalities are represented among the hospital’s staff. A language board is prominently displayed to help patients arrange translation services as needed.
Mediclinic City Hospital was first accredited by JCI in 2010 and reaccredited in 2013. The laboratory is also accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
