Taipei Medical University Hospital
Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH) was founded in 1976. By 2012, the JCI-accredited facility had expanded to 833 beds, with 28 specialty medical departments. Thirty-nine sub-specialty medical departments provide a broad range of clinical services.
The facility's main specialty centers include the Center for Reproductive Medicine, Cardiovascular Center, Da Vinci Surgery Center, Joint Replacement Center, Health Management Center, Breast Health Management Center, Comprehensive Weight Management Center, Esthetic Medical Center, Stereotactic Radiosurgery Center, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Center.
All TMUH specialty centers take an integrated approach to patient care and treatment. The Center for Reproductive Medicine has helped tens of thousands infertile couples conceive. The Joint Replacement Center annually performs 500 arthroscopic surgeries, 200 joint replacement surgeries, and 150 spinal surgeries—all using minimally invasive surgery techniques.
The Comprehensive Weight Management Center integrates traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine emphasizing diet control, medication, exercise, intragastric balloon, and laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Emphasizing cutting-edge technology, the Stereotactic Radiosurgery Center uses highly accurate laser equipment, including image-guided volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and Tomotherapy.
TMUH's International Patient Center supports patients with travel planning, accommodation arrangements, medical visa application, language translation, cost estimates, billing coordination, and appointment coordination.
